SS conducted deep, formative, but sporadic, fieldwork from 2014 to 2019 spanning Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia about the state of social sciences. The consulting covered:

2) What social sciences a given institution offers
3) If the institution confers any graduate degrees in the respective social sciences,
